So i have a 1987 Gmc V1500 or V10 whatever it is, with the 350 tbi ( with 2.02 heads, comp cam, dual plane intake with about 10,000 km on a fresh build) All was good until a week ago I drove and it started to detonate bad at least I think that’s what the sound is. So I went through and did the regular things when that happens, set the timing again, make sure the spark plugs all have spark, change fuel filters and put new clean fuel in. After that it still makes that noise, I went ahead and made sure none of the rockers were out of spec and they all were great ( i have a mild hydraulic comp cam) so i’m lost if anyone has any ideas fire them this way.
