Hey there,

Just bought my first K5, after spending a lifetime in Jeep CJ land...I finally get it. Getting my head around the aftermarket on these things and am having a hell of a time finding a drop in replacement seats. Looked at the LMC upholstery kits, but my springs are completely shot. Goal is to not have to fab anything crazy to get them to fit as well...any recommendations would be appreciated.

restoring an 84 C10, drop in replacement seats aren't out there. I restored mine from LMC. spings were fine. back pad was fine after a gallon of febreeze. springs are pretty standard and I'd think you could buy a bag of them on Amazon. the wires between the springs could be ghettoed with picture hanging wire. my were fine but since i redid mine last week all that is fresh in my mind. I put the vinyl-fake looking leather on mine from LMC. I had to replace the bottom pad. It looks pretty bad ass now. knock the rust off and paint the frame black before putting everything back together. also there's a you tube video by LMC on how easy it is to restore the seat. best of luck!
